Why Battle Road
Real coaching from people who know the game.
Our staff is led by the head coach of the Lexington High School varsity program and built out with experienced college and high school coaches. We aim for a 7:1 camper-to-coach ratio — most camps run double or triple that. Smaller groups, real coaching, real reps.
Battle Road is one of the only full five-day lacrosse camps in the area. That extra time means players move past introduction and into real development — building skills on Monday, layering position work mid-week, and applying it in competitive play by Friday. Dave Walsh
Boys Director
Dave Walsh has been a high school English teacher since 1997, has been coaching lacrosse since 1992, and became the head coach at Lexington High School in 2000. In his tenure, the LHS Minutemen have won the Middlesex League title five times, are consistent qualifiers for the Division I state tournament, and Coach Walsh has been named Middlesex League Coach of the Year twice. He was a co-founder of the now well-established 128 Lacrosse Club, and coached with the HGR Lacrosse Club for many years. Coach Walsh ran the Blue Cheetah Lacrosse Camp in Lexington from 2004–2019, introducing the game of lacrosse to hundreds of young people and helping experienced players improve their game.

Indigo Fox Tree
